Solstice allows you to wirelessly share your screen anywhere there is a Solstice enabled display. There are simple instructions on How to Use Solstice available from the vendor.

The Solstice app for Windows and Mac laptops can also be run from a USB dongle with no installation, dependencies, or libraries required on the client laptop. Option to Run Solstice at Startup for Windows and Mac Laptops. For Windows and Mac users that download or update to the 2.8 Solstice client app, the app will automatically launch at startup of the client device. The default launch-at-startup option can easily be disabled in the client settings menu.
Set up
The first time you wish to use a Solstice device you must use a browser to download the Solstice app for your particulate device. Once you have the right app you need to enter the IP address that appears on the screen connected to the device and begin sharing.
First Time
- Open a browser, such as Chrome.
- Enter the IP address of the device provided on screen into the browser address:
- The browser should display a page that indicates what device it is and a button labeled “Get the App & Join”:
- Click or tap
The correct app for the device you are using with begin downloading. Apps for various devices are all available for download.
- Install the app downloaded on your device.
Connecting to Solstice

- Open the Solstice app:
- Select the “Enter IP” tab.
- Enter the IP address found on the screen attached to the Solstice and click or tap “GO”.
- Enter the 4-digit screen key found on the screen.
Sharing
Once connected to the Solstice you have Share options:
Please note: Mirror Screen is not currently available to iPhones and iPads.

Before you can use your device to connect to a Solstice display, you'll need to install the Solstice Client app. To do so, from your computer or mobile device:
Download Linux
- In a web browser, navigate to https://solstice.iu.edu.
- From the Download the Solstice app drop-down menu, select the version of Solstice that corresponds to your system:
- Windows or macOS: When you select your operating system from the drop-down list, you'll be given the option to save the Solstice Client installer to your computer. Do so, and when the download is complete, run the installer. This should not require you to log on to your device with administrator permissions.
- Android or iOS: You'll be redirected to the free Solstice Client app in the Google Play Store or Apple Store. Download and install the app on your device.
- Windows or macOS: When you select your operating system from the drop-down list, you'll be given the option to save the Solstice Client installer to your computer. Do so, and when the download is complete, run the installer.
Solstice Pod Download
Once you have installed the Solstice Client app, you'll be able to use your device to connect to a Solstice display.
